Kiko 336

Yes it's blue again! And yes, I love it!

I finally managed to take time for nail polish I got for my birthday. From Kiko cosmetics, blue color, nr. 336.

After I applied first coat the color didn't look that great but after second coat it really popped out!

Movie review - A Lonely Place to Die (2011)

A Lonely Place to Die (2011) / adventure, thriller, crime

You climb the mountain to see the view but there is just a blur!

PLOT
A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried alive in a small chamber in the wilderness. They not only face dangerous terrain with a child but also discover that they're not alone.

REVIEW
This outdoors thriller started off really good, slowly, tense yet intriguing and with an interesting idea but unfortunately ran out of steam somewhere in the middle. The mountains, scenery and all the action was shot excellent, cast did solid job however the film changed direction for the worse. I don't want to spoil it so I can't write much about it but I'm sure you'll notice that too. So disappointing and such a wasted potential! 2+/5

All American Car Meeting

Last week was 10th All American Car Meeting in Ljubljana and of course we were there!

I love old American Cars so this event is a must every year. The weather was great, there was a lot of cars to see and they were amazing. To see all those gorgeous Mustangs and some really special car details. Aaaaa! So cool I was kind of speechless! Take a look!

Movie review - Begin Again (2013)

Begin Again (2013) / music, drama, comedy

Directed and Written by John Carney

PLOT
Dan Mulligan (Mark Ruffalo) is a struggling record label executive living in New York City. One night, while drinking at a bar in the East Village, he encounters Gretta (Keira Knightley), a young, independent songwriter whose music captivates him. Certain that he can make her into a star, Dan offers to sign her to his company's label. Gretta is determined not to compromise her principles as an artist for the sake of fame so they need to find a compromise.

REVIEW
Similar to Once (2006), this is a film focusing on music. I love the story and how people create music to express emotions, line between art and fame, chasing dreams, etc. Songs, writing and performances are all great! Movie has that natural feeling, it's sincere, authentic, realistic and relatable. Songs are pleasant and I bet Keira will amaze you with her voice! She's a capable singer. And Adam did a really good job making his feature film debut. I also like that the film avoids clichés and predictability to a certain extent. It's so refreshing to see a movie like this. My only remark would be that the movie loses pace and slows down after a while but other than that, I was pleasantly surprised! Great must see inspiring musical drama! 4/5

Fall TV Shows 2014

This week many Tv shows have returned! Person of Interest, Modern Family and Nashville are the ones I am most excited about. Revenge and Castle are also just a few days away... Homeland, Arrow, 2 Broke Girls and The Vampire Diaries will also air soon.

This week is all about tv series! Of course you've heard about 20th anniversary of epic comedy tv show Friends and 10th anniversary of Lost. Both are of my favorite shows!

However, like every year, there is a lot of NEW TV SERIES. An if time allows me, I'll definitely check them out!

Gotham (FOX)
The series will focus on story of Gordon's (Ben McKenzie) early days on the Gotham City police force. He is a fresh-faced police detective whose life begins to change when he and his partner Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), start investigating the murder of the parents of none other than a young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). The noir crime drama isn't just about Gordon's rise through the ranks of Gotham City but also promises to tell the origin stories of several Batman villains, including Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Riddler (Cory Michael Smith), Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Joker, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Hugo Strange, Harvey Dent and Mr. Freeze.

Why to watch? Helooooo! It's about Gotham (I love Batman)!

How to Get Away With Murder (ABC)
Legal thriller with Viola Davis as a serious-as-the-death-penalty law school professor whose attractive students vie for her approval and a desk at her prestigious law firm. But their biggest lessons are learned outside the classroom, when they get caught up in a murder plot and, presumably, must figure out how to get away with it.

Why to watch? Viola is an amazing actresses and plot sounds good!

The Affair (Showtime)
The Affair examines the emotional and psychological effects of infidelity on two different marriages. Set in the Hamptons, the series stars Dominic West and Ruth Wilson as the cheaters and Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson as the cheatees. Bonus: Bunheads' Julia Goldani Telles appears as the teenage daughter of one of the two couples, adding to an already excellent cast.

Why to watch? It's on Showtime and has an excellent cast!

Scorpion (CBS)
Based on the experiences of real-world genius Walter O'Brien, Scorpion is about a bunch of nerds who form a team to solve some of the world's most complex problems while Katharine McPhee plays the diner waitress who glues them all together.

Why to watch? It might be geeky interesting and fun!

Forever (ABC)
Ioan Gruffudd stars as New York City medical examiner Henry Morgan, who harbors an unusual secret, he can't die. Working alongside his new partner, Det. Jo Martinez (Alana De La Garza), Morgan studies the dead in an effort to discover the mystery of his own immortality.

Why to watch? Well... Ioan is in it! A good enough reason to give it a shot!

A to Z (NBC)
A to Z is a romantic comedy that chronicles a relationship from beginning to end. Ben Feldman plays Andrew, a true believer in destiny and romance, while HIMYM's Cristin Milioti plays the object of his affection, a rebellious Zelda. A to Z, get it?

Why to watch? Looks cute and light.

Manhattan Love Story (ABC)
Comedy that uses the power of voiceover to broadcast the internal monologues of a new couple Peter (Jake McDorman) and Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and the questions what are they actually thinking about from the moment they begin a relationship. What you'll learn early on from the voices in their heads is that guys like sex and women like purses, but as the series and their relationship progresses, we expect things will get a bit more complicated than that.

Why to watch? Dynamic of relationships are always interesting right? But if the show will only centered on cliches and stereotypes between men and women, I'll not watch it.

Celebrity Name Game
Based off the board game Identity Crisis, this is an American syndicated game show with Craig Ferguson as host.

Why to watch? If you love celebrities, Craig or game shows, you need to see it. It's short and fun. I already did!

Will you watch any of new fall tv shows? Which ones?

Last week's favorite looks (September 15 - 21)

First autumn Wednesday and here are my last week's favorite looks (September 15 - 21). This time I only have an event outfits.

My favorite was definitely Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. She attended the Moroccanoil Inspired by Women campaign launch event in New York City. Looking as chic and as sexy as ever, the British model wore a look from the Versus collection designed byAnthony Vaccarello. Gold-button detailing, a plunging white blazer and trousers with greek key detail going down the sides look amazing! Versus black and gold sandals plus a selection of subtle gold jewels rounded out this look.

Abigail Spencer on the red carpet for the This Is Where I Leave You LA premiere in Hollywood, California. She opted for a Paule Ka gown, a classic black and white colour palette with an asymmetrical bodice, black Stuart Weitzman sandals, a silver cuff and a bright red lip.

Katie Holmes attended DuJour Magazine’s party held in her honour in New York City. The actress wore a black stretch-knit Azzedine Alaïa dress featuring ladder-effect vertical stripes. She kept the styling simple with a single gold bracelet and Manolo Blahnik pumps, a voluminous blow-out and smouldering eye makeup. It's nice to see Katie in something more sexy than usual.

Taylor Swift took to the red carpet for the iHeart Radio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. Taylor wore a Calvin Klein white strapless top with a red skirt. Her sexy two-piece was effortless styled with tri-colour Louboutins, Le Vian diamond ring, Sethi Couture diamond earrings and of course, red pout. Simple. Hot.

Hello Autumn!

Autumn is officially here!

Despite I'm having a little trouble with the fact is back to school time (not for me but because of the traffic jams, more people in the city, crowds, etc) and that the days will get shorter, I'm also thinking about things I enjoy so much in Fall. After all it's my favorite season! Autumn leaves, crazy beautiful colors in nature, apple pie (yum yumy yum!), fall premieres of tv series, first sip of hot chocolate, more cuddling, cozy sweaters, cinamon candles, etc. Mmmmmm! Wishing you a wonderful inspiring Autumn!
