Heartwarming enjoyable film!
This is a fresh, wacky funny movie with heart and very good use of symbolism. Characters are interesting and not perfect (which is ok) and chemisty between Sam and Julian is charming. There are also sad and moving elements of the film so it feels more real. It's a perfect balance between comedy and drama. And set is amazing of course, it's New Zealand. Enjoyable comedy adventure with more serious undertones. I also like the simple story and the idea of two free spirits, outcasts of the society against the bureaucratic system. Would love to see more films like this one. A must see! 5-/5

One of the hidden movie gems in 2016!
Good portrait of youth and the struggles yet funny and watchable. Definitely above average teen drama film. Some things were predictable but things simply worked and it felt fresh and real enough. The script, the performancs (Hailee especially) and music were great! The film looks honest, authentic and pleasant to watch. Loved it! 5-/5

Last week's favorite looks (March 01 - 19)
Here are my favorite looks in the first half of the month of March 2017.
Obviously there is a lot of florals and black and white which I adore.
My favourite two at the Christian Dior show held during Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France were Karlie Kloss and Eva Herzigova. Love!
Nicole Kidman joined Jane Fonda on the red carpet for Goldene Kamera 2017 in Hamburg, Germany. She looked lovely in a Giambattista Valli floral gown with delicate ruffled sleeves.
Eva Mendes gorgeous in a one-shoulder green dress from the Eva Mendes Collection while attending the grand opening of the New York & Company store in Miami, Florida.
Cara Delevingne looking edgy and cool in a Joe’s tee and jeans arriving at Royal Monceau Raffles hotel in Paris, France.
Michelle Dockery
joined her castmates at the New York screening of her upcoming film The Sense of an Ending. She opted for minimal monochrome David Koma
jumpsuit and Christian Louboutin pumps with deep-parted curls and a red
lip.
Heidi Klum attended 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards. She opted for a Redemption mini and was my fav from the show.
Demi Lovato is promoting film Smurfs: The Lost Village. She looked beautiful in a white fit and flare silhouette of her Jill Jill Stuart dress stlyed with Edie Parker ‘Smurfette’ clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti white sandals.
Obviously there is a lot of florals and black and white which I adore.

Beautiful and faithful to a classic but missing the charm!
I still think those live-action remakes are unnecessary but I overall like Disney very much and the original is one of my favorites. The film is absolutely beautiful: the music, the costumes and the whole setting. It's faithful to a classic yet still fresh a bit with new songs (maybe there are almost too many of them) and some changes from the original - some were good. And I loved voices from Ewan and Ian. On the negative side. For me Beast was less charming as original and they made him way too mellow. Also the ending was kitschy. Emma did a good job but I felt she tried to capture original Belle too much. Magic and charm from the original animation is missing but it's still nice and worth seeing. 4-/5

Last week's favorite looks (February 11 - 28)
Award season 2017 has (finally) come to an end. You already seen best looks from Golden Globes, SAG Awards, BAFTAs, Grammys, Oscars and The Vanity Fair Oscar Party, but here are also some of my other favorite looks I notice last month.
At the NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena, California these three ladies were outstanding. Mandy Moore in a sleek sophisticated Solace London
gown, Erica Ash in a gorgeous mint dress and Kerry Washington in a Prabal Gurung gown.
My favorite two from 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards were Janelle Monáe
and Naomie Harris. Janelle in black and white Salvatore Ferragamo
ensemble styled with a
similarly geometric Emm Kuo clutch and Christian Louboutin
sandals. Clashing patterns is tricky but she does a good job. Naomie in Chanel dress. I love the colors.
Emma Stone joined a host of stars for the 10th annual Women in
Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party in LA. She wore a shimmer Prada
look with ankle strap
Jimmy Choo pumps.
Nicole Scherzinger attended The Weinstein Company’s Pre-Oscar
Dinner and opted for beautiful Yanina Couture gown.
One Emma ends with the promotion and other one begins. Emma Watson gave us some really nice looks already. She skipped the red carpet at the 2017 Elle Style Awards in London but was spotted in the VIP
room. I am really glad because this fairytale Christian Dior dress is amazing.
At the photocall for Beauty and the Beast in London we've seen her in black 3.1 Phillip Lim look with Black Burberry pumps and Pichulik beaded point earrings completed the look.
Emma also looked great in black and white arriving at the after party of Beauty and the Beast in London.
Amy Adams arrived at the BAFTA nominees party in London in lovely Chanel dress.
Emily Ratajkowski looked so cool in pink trouser and blazer suit and white blouse in the front row of the Altuzarra fashion show held during New York Fashion Week.
Kate Walsh at the Roundabout Theatre Company’s 2017 Spring Gala to honor four-time Tony Award winner, Frank Langella. She opted for classic sexy black and red look.
Barbara Palvin while walking the red carpet at the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Launch Event in New York City. She wore a romantic baby-blue gown with a messy half-up, half-down waves.
Brie Larson took to the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square for the premiere of Kong: Skull Island and looked great in a seductive Ralph & Russo Couture gown.

Masterpiece for the end!
I'm a huge Wolverine/X-Men/Hugh Jackman fan so the fact that the movie came out the way it did makes me very happy. This is the character I (and many others) identify with and care for him since the very beginning. This standalone feature is quite different from anything we've seen and for sure the best one (also one of the best X-men films). It's more gritty, unrestrained and real, brutally violent but the most sentimental and emotional one at the same time. Relationship between Xavier and Logan it's beauiful to watch on the one side but on the other there is this crazy throat-slashing action. It's not only a great superhero film yet surprisingly thoughtful and gripping film in general. I read somewhere that Logan is Marvel's Dark Knight and I agree. It's excellent. What I appreciate most is that it's character driven. Hugh Jackman is one again superb in his role. No one can ever replace Hugh as Wolverine. Period. I don't want to believe this is it but if it really is, I'm glad to be part of it. 5-/5

Ed Sheeran album Divide
Yey, it's Friday and yey, new Ed Sheeran's album Divide is out now!
After first listening I already like some songs: romantic ones like Perfect, Hearts Don't Break Around Here and more jolly ones like Nancy Mulligan and Galway Girl. When I heard Save Myself I couldn't help myself and teared up.
This one What Do I Know is really cool too.
Thank you for new music and amazing lyrics Ed! I love the stories, his voice... just wow. And this graphics is great too.
Enjoy in listening and have a great weekend!

The Vanity Fair Oscar Party Best dressed
Here are best looks from the red carpet at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscar Viewing Party and The Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Jasmine Tookes was absolute stunner! At the Elton John's party she loooked amazing in a Zuhair Murad gold dress. Her second look at Vanity Fair party was also great. She opted for black one-shoulder Thai Nguyen Atelier sheer gown and styled with Stuart Weitzman sandals. Top!
Lily Collins was spectacular as well. I lovet his dramatic Elie Saab couture gown with retro waves, berry lip and Charlotte Olympia heels.
Simple but beautifiul. Jennifer Aniston in a Atelier Versace gown with deep plunging neckline and thigh-high slit. Nicola Peltz in black and white dress and Naomie Harris in another look by Calvin Klein By Appointment. She paired the white grecian inspired gown with Tamara Mellon sandals and a gold clutch.
I know it's obvious, I love Elie Saab. Elizabeth Banks wore this amazing design. She styled the look with Fernando Jorge jewelry, Sophia Webster shoes and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
It's three out of three for me. Auli'i Cravalho wowed me also in a blue Rubin Singer dress.
Demi Lovato looked princess gorgeous in a Monique Lhuillier ruffle gown. She styled it with an Edie Parker clutch and Dvani jewels.
Adriana Lima has an amazing body but often she chooses dresses that I don't like. Lately she's getting better. First we've seen her in an Elisabetta Franchi white dress, Casadei shoes and Chopard jewelry. Solid, but I like her second look more. She opted for a Labourjoisie gold gown.
Karlie Kloss served us another beautiful look. She wore a Naeem Khan red gown with embellishment and a thigh-high side slit.
Amy Adams in glamorous silver Tom Ford dress. Clean and elegant.
Kate Bosworth looked looked picture perfect in a J. Mendel pleated tulle ball
gown. One of my favorites among favorites.
Ashley Tisdale wore a fitted purple gown by Narciso Rodriguez. Nice.
Katherine McPhee in a Amanda Wakeley black gown with choker necklace and Halston Heritage clutch.
Leona Lewis opted for a Tony Ward couture dress with Atelier Swarovski Crystal clutch and Swarovski rings.
Shanina Shaik wore a green deep V emerald dress that revealed plenty. She styled the dress with emerald and diamond necklace, as well as a ring from Piaget Luxury Jewelery, a matching clutch and strappy heels from Stuart Weitzman.
Joyful dresses for the end. Ruth Negga in a sparkly Oscar de la Renta dress that featured delightful high-low hemline. I love the mix of sparkle, elegant and fun.
Freida Pinto in a gorgeous blue Elie
Saab gown. The slit was
tasteful and the accessories added a golden touch.
Kat Graham in a vivid Renato Balestra Couture dress. Kind of cool.

Oscars 2017 Best dressed
Best dressed at the Oscars 2017 + nominees for best leading and supporting role.
Darby Stanchfield wore a Georges Chakra gown with a cape and overlay.
Your favorites?
Trends were: a lot of white, shimmer and full-skirted dresses. First the ladies who were nominated and then my favourites.
Emma Stone wore a gold Givenchy Couture gown with beaded and fringe. She styled the look with gold and diamond jewels, classic Hollywood waves and beautiful eye makeup. Love this look for her. And it's kind of La La Land-y.
Isabelle Huppert opted for long sleeved custom Armani Privé gown. So elegant yet edgy because of her dark manicure and red lips.
Ruth Negga wore a long-sleeved, red Valentino Couture gown with Irene Neuwirth, Gemfields jewels, headband and the blue ribbon in support of ACLU (we've seen ribbons on many actresses).
Meryl Streep in a custom Elie Saab Couture embellished design that was rendered in a deep teal hue. Charlotte Olympia clutch and Fred Leighton jewels completed her look. Not a fan of trousers and skirt but it's Meryl so she's amazing anyway.
Viola Davis was a nice surprise. The actress wore a red custom Armani Privé gown. And how cute is her new do!
Nicole Kidman also in a custom nude Armani Privé dress with Harry Winston diamond and ruby jewelry. After her amazing look at BAFTAs I hoped for more. Yet she still looks gracious.
Naomie Harris wore a white Calvin Klein By Appointment dress with Bvlgari jewels and awesome Calvin Klein sandals. What a beautiful modern look!
Michelle Williams in a Louis Vuitton design. I hoped for something more edgy. It's a bit boring.
Octavia Spencer in a Marchesa gown with Stuart Weitzman heels and Forevermark Diamonds. Not impressed this time.
Not the most glamorous and it would be better suited for a different red carpet but I simply love this look. Scarlett Johansson wore printed Azzedine Alaïa gown with Fred Leighton jewels. I also love the styling choices with the belt and jewelry.
First-timer at the Oscars and she already gave us 3 great looks (one will be in the next post where I'll have Vanity Fair Oscar party best dressed). The Moana actress Auli’i Cravalho wore an art deco inspired Rubin Singer gown (in the middle) with a white box clutch and gold + diamond jewels. When she performed she wore a beautiful red ball gown. My star of the night.
Sara Bareilles was my fav lady in red at the red carpet. She opeted for a Romona Keveza strapless dress with gold Marco Bicego Jewelry.
Chrissy Teigen wowed us again in a Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture gown with dazzling accessories.
Taraji P. Henson looked striking in a Alberta Ferretti gown iced with off-the-shoulder plunge neckline and high slit. She accessorized with a Nirav Modi necklace and a Jimmy Choo clutch.
My fav dramatic look was by Janelle Monae. She wore an Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture accessorized with Forevermark Diamonds. The way Janelle wore the dress. Just great!
Brie Larson in her Oscar de la Renta custom gown. Not a fan of the ruffles but this dress looked amazing in motion. A hot orange-red lip polished off the look with additional flair.
Laura Dern sparkled in a custom Rodarte gown. I adore this midnight-navy colour and the sequined effect.
With this face and body you don't need much. Karlie Kloss opted for a minimalist Stella McCartney gown with the cape detailing. She styled the look with a Roger Vivier Boite de Nuit Bracelet bag and Nirav Modi jewels.
I wasn't sure for the last 5 looks but they were still solid. Charlize Theron in a shimmering Christian Dior gown with Chopard jewels. The thing I love most here are Charlize’s massive diamond earrings that are intentionally mismatched. Similarly as Nicole, she can were anything with this elegance and poise.
Jessical Biel opted for a shining KaufmanFranco Pre-Fall 2017 gown with the statement collar necklace from Tiffany & Co. She wore it well but I don't like the hairstyle.
Darby Stanchfield wore a Georges Chakra gown with a cape and overlay.
Priyanka Chopra in a Ralph & Russo dress with Jimmy Choo sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. I like this interesting geometric gorgeous gown but I'm not impressed about bracelets on both hands.
Sofia Carson in a princess gown from the Monique Lhuillier. Youthfully whimsical with delicate, golden embellishment, frothy tulle layers and red pout.
