REVIEW
I'm going to start with saying that film is wonderful cinematic experience! Powerful straightforward story, good screenplay, compelling themes (terminal illness, government regulations, homophobia, intolerance) and excellent performances by Matthew and Jared are just a few reasons why I loved this movie. The sense of realism, raw emotion, how you feel for the protagonist who is quite unlikeable but he's so determined to fight back... brilliant acting and moving story. Great balance of drama, charm, humour, sadness and hope. My only negative criticism would be that certain details important to the plot seem glossed over and people's circumstances simplified. 4/5
I've been planning on watching this ever since the Oscars... Thank you for the review, it really lightens up some aspects of the story I was wondering about.
