Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Grants Banquet

Red carpet at yesterday's Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Grants Banquet held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. First I tought I'll include some of the styles in next week's favorite looks but then decided to do the whole red carpet recap.


Sofia Vergara looked amazing in a red figure-hugging, partly sheer dress from My Revolving Closet. A complementary red lip, silver sandals, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and a black embellished clutch completed her look. Dasha in an orange floor sweeping, one shoulder dress with only one long sleeve. I like the black stripes on sides that emphasise her figure but hate the bottom, flowy part of the length.

Hailee Steinfeld lovely in a ALC striped dress cut with a full flared skirt and trimmed with leather. She completed her look with black Christian Louboutin shoes. Abigail Spencer looked chic and classy in a Dolce & Gabbana black and white look, a white chiffon blouse with a playful black bow, streamlined black trousers and Jimmy Choo lace ankle-strap heels. Jenny Slate opted for nude color while Anne Heche in black suit.

Pregnant Kristen Bell looked very elegant in a Andrew Gn dress gown featuring a blue fringe-beaded bodice and flowing black chiffon layered skirt. She styled the look with vlack Rupert Sanderson heels and Antonini jewels. Kerry Washington in strapless Mary Katrantzou eclectic-print dress with two-tone blue toecap pumps. Gina Rodriguez in a three quarter sleeve blue Laquan Smith dress with a pair of tri-colour Jimmy Choo Typhoon pumps and a Kotur cream clutch. Jessica Parker Kennedy in a strapless silver and black Carolina Herrera frock with metallic print.

Elle Fanning also opted for a red color. She wore Vivienne Westwood squiggle-print sleeveless dress with sparkling Christian Louboutin heels that matched her bracelet. Katherine McNamara in a Ted Baker London Jacen floral print tunic dress featuring a black embellished collar and cuffs and a 60s-like silhouette and feel. She styled it with black ankle-strap pumps, simple ponytail and a soft pink lip. Minnie Driver in electric blue something (I can even say dress because it looks that horrible!).

Also at the event. Actress Anne Jeffreys, almost unrecognizable Rose McGowan, lady in all black Franka Potente and two of the worst dressed: Patricia Arquette and JoBeth Wiliams.
