Tv Series Update

It's been a long long time since my last tv series update post. May is one of the months when many of series end and networks decide which shows they will be bringing to air next season and which current shows are getting canceled.

First, my quick toughts on series that started this year. Some I have already mentioned (click), some not.

The Following - quite good, unconventional but characters are a bit cold so you don't relate to them as much. Despite that, very good cast and interesting episodes. Second season will air in 2014.

Red Widow - interesting premise, watchable, but a blind alley, it'll be cancelled after one season.

Zero hour - unfortunately it's been removed from its airing schedule by ABC due to low ratings after few episodes so there was never a chance to really show it's true colors. It's still possible that we'll see the remaining episodes. Zero Hour also aires in Spain and Denmark.

Cult - similar story. Series was removed from the schedule and CW is yet to announce whether the remaining episodes will eventually air.

The Carrie Diaries - I said it before and I'll say it again: quantity doesn't mean quality! CW renewed The Carrie Diaries for a second season but to be honest this show is so average and teen. I won't say it's crap but it's certainly not good. Sarah Jessica Parker comment about another actress playing Carrie Bradshaw: "I'm not sure…You know, I think it's one of those tests of your generosity. She [AnnaSophia Robb] is a lovely girl and I want her to feel good about it, but it's…odd."

Vikings - what a pleasant surprise! Canadian-Irish historical drama focusing on Ragnar as a Viking farmer who pioneers the first daring raids into Britain with the support of fellow warriors. While Game of Thrones is highly overrated, Vikings would deserve more attention. I'm happy because there'll be a season 2!

Bates Motel, House of Cards and Da Vinci's Demons are also new tv series. Maybe I'll give them a shot.

Now to good news! I'm so excited for RENEWED season of:
- Castle,
- Nashville,
- Person of Interest,
- Modern Family,
- Arrow,
- 2 Broke Girls ,
- Revenge,
and Cougar Town.

Also renewed: Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Suburgatory, The Middle, The Neighbors, Once Upon a Time, Last Man Standing, Elementary, American Horror Story, Revolution, Chicago Fire, Parks and Recreation and Community.
