Magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) works in a traveling circus and he doesn't care much about/for anybody but himself. While Oscar gets in trouble for flirting with others wife, a big storm approaches and he manages to escape in a hot air balloon that get sucked into a tornado, but successfully lands in the Oz city. This city is very different from what he knows and people welcome him because they believe he's the wizard they've been wating for and he is the one who'll save the city. While he is thrilled by the city and it's beauties, he's also encounters to three witches: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) with their own agendas but Oscar doesn't know them just yet. Because of all expectations an responsibility Oscar starts to panic and want to find a way out of Oz. But will he realize that people really need him and learn something?
Oz it's decent family adventure fantasy film with a beautiful visuals. Otherwise it's just mediocre movie, full of cliches, average acting and typical plot. But like I said, watchable because of visuals, plus appropriate and quite entertaining for whole family. 3/5
