Movie review - Seven Psychopaths (2012)
Seven Psychopaths (2012) / comedy, crime
Directed, co-produced and written by Martin McDonagh
Starring: Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson, Tom Waits, Linda Bright Clay, Abbie Cornish, Zeljko Ivanek, Michael Stuhlbarg, Michael Pitt, Harry Dean Stanton, Olga Kurylenko
Trailer: click.
Writer Marty Faranan (Colin Farrell) is struggling to finish his screenplay called Seven Psychopaths. Marty's unemployed friend Billy (Sam Rockwell) wants to help him with the writing. Billy support himself by cooperating with Hans (Christopher Walken) by kidnapping dogs and return them back to their owners for payment. But they come across problem when they abduct a Shih Tzu dog of wealthy man Charlie (Woody Harrelson). Characters paths start to intertwine and story becomes more complicated.
This is definitely not a typical Hollywood movie, so be prepared for odd witty humor and in a way mockery of banal action plots we usualy see. First thing that I really loved is the script: original, very smart dialogs and rich characters. Secondly: cast was outstanding! I was most surprised (positively of course) by Sam Rockwell's performance. Another thing that was great, was toying with clichés and scenes where things didn't go as planed (like in all typical films). But on the down side. The biggest problem of the movie is that it seemed to drag and felt a little too long, plus it's dynamics swing too much. I would say, this movie is not for everyone but if you like wicked sense of humor, quirkiness and good script you'll definitely enjoy in it. 4-/5

Ruby Kisses Green Tomatoes
Nail polish from Ruby Kisses, RNP 129 Green Tomatoes.
A bit unusual shade for me but it was quite nice when I put it on.

Last week's favorite looks (May 20 - 26)
Last two weeks was all about Cannes Film Festival so my last week's favorite looks (May 20 - 26) are only three.
Chrissy Teigen was chick lovely while headed to a dinner in LA, Selena Gomez casual at the BBC Radio 1 studios in London and Emma Roberts in Camilla and Marc dress while attending Glamour‘s presentation of These Girls in New York City. Shoes are fail but ok.
I'm sure you enjoyed fashion all amazing gowns at Cannes Film Festival 2013. If you missed it, check it out: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, more of Day 5, Day 6, Day 7, Day 8, Day 9, amfAR’s 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS Red Carpet, Day 10 and Day 11 and Day 12.

Movie review - Fast & Furious 6 (2013)
Fast & Furious 6 (2013) / action, crime
Directed by Justin Lin
Written by Chris Morgan
Based on: Characters by Gary Scott Thompson
Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Gina Carano, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky, Jason Statham
Trailer: click.
I love the Fast & Furious franchise so I'm happy to say that I wasn't disappointed. Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his company live their ordinary lives and it seems like they have forgotten the old way of living, but agent Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) has a problem with a terrorist threat, a criminal group lead by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans) and needs help. Toretto is not willing to help so easily however he changes his mind when he sees a photo of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). Crew is reunited and the action begins.
Story: no, it's nothing new, special or surprising but it's still decent and interesting to watch. Films with cool fast cars, fight scenes and explosions don't usually cover that part. The action sequences are thrilling, engaging and well-shot. Yes, of course they are over-the-top but you're so into the movie and excited that it just doesn't matter. And some car scenes... awesome to say at least! I was impressed! And fight scenes. Sweeet. I like tought chicks so it was really cool to see Michelle and Gina kick-ass!
Another thing I loved was the storyline of the movie. It gets better and better while watching it, not the other way around. Chemistry between the cast members is still there, plus the new members in the movie (Evans is damn good and Carano is solid) did a good job. No, I'm not finished yet. I also loved the locations of the shooting (beautiful cinematography), the fact that Show isn't some stereotypical villain and the funny moments (they don't exaggerate).
My main criticism is the length (it's not that terrible but it could be done a bit shorter) and contradiction in the end (it contains a spoiler so I'll write this part below under stars****). Overall badass, cool, entertaining movie and action flick you just don't want to miss this summer! 4/5

****SPOILER****
Once again. Don't read this part if you've not seen the film yet because it contains a spoiler.
At the end of the movie, one of the F&F crew dies and it's like nothing sad really happened. The whole movie we listen to: we are family and blablabla but at the end there is no special sign that they mourn. I would change that part for sure.

2013 Cannes Film Festival, Day 12
It's A Wrap! Let see what the last day (day 12) at Cannes Film Festival 2013 brought.
Last day main focus was on movie Zulu and of course who are the winners. If you don't know them yet - click.
Nicole Kidman finish off Cannes Film Festival in white, v-neckline Giorgio Armani styled with Harry Winston jewels. I don't love it as much as some of her previous outfits, but she's still lovely to look at.
Two beautiful Elie Saab creations. Berenice Bejo in over-the-knee dress and Ximena Navarrete in red floor length gown. Love them both.
Zhang Ziyi in Christian Dior Couture at the red carpet and later on in black Elie Saab in wich she present an award. I like Elie Saab look better but over all she was constant through this whole festival.
Adele Exarchopoulos in white over the shoulder chiffon Gucci gown and Lea Seydoux in Maxime Simoens Couture. They both looked good! Plus their movie La vie d'Adele was a big winner.
Asia Argento in a slik metal lace dress and Marine Lorphelin in strepless gown. Was Asia drunk or what? She waved, done an improper poses and even flipping the bird at the photographers. However I must say that spaghetti straped gowns just don't work for me.
Laetitia Casta in Christian Dior Couture dress and overpowering gold feathered bolero. On right, Liliana Matthaeus.
Uma Thurman in strapless metallic silver Atelier Versace gown with a train and constantly horrible, Phoebe Price.
Audrey Tautou in red Prada gown with pink ribbon (while she attended the Palme D’Or Winners Photocall), Saadet Aksoy is wearing a sheer embriodred gown, Aurelie Filippetti in a blue sequined dress and Ludivine Sagnier in a black belted gown.
More spaghetti straped dresses: Kimberley Garner, Lady Victoria Hervey and Mouna Ayoub.
Carolina Parsons in peach shade dress, Sylvie Tellier in green glitter Andrew Gn gown, Rossy De Palma in black ruffles and Kim Novak in pants.
And for the end. I don't know who this lady is but she sure had a dress that couldn't be unnoticeable. Yellow sunflower gown.
Best Dressed on Day 12: Berenice Bejo, Ximena Navarrete
Worst Dressed on Day 12: Phoebe Price, Kimberley Garner, Lady Victoria Hervey

2013 Cannes Film Festival, Day 11
Penultimate, day 11 at Cannes Film Festival 2013.
Only Lovers left alive and Venus In Fur were the movies with main attention.
Tilda Swinton in Chanel at photocall and in golden Haider Ackermann outfit at the premiere.
Two of the most good-looking gowns of the evening. The Turkish actress Saadet Aksoy in grey long sleeve dress and Zhang Ziyi in amazingly beautiful lilac fully embellished Elie Saab Couture with three-quarter length sleeves.
Nicole Kidman in Chanel and red Louboutin pumps. Black and white ruffle sequined dress is not my favorite what we saw from her but I like hairstyle effort (a rolled, braided messy updo).
Audrey Tautou in black strapless dress and a Mexican model/actress Ximena Navarrete in purple Zac Posen.
Emmanuelle Seigner in silk Alexandre Vauthier with Roman Polanski and Bianca Balti in see through Dolce & Gabbana.
Turkish celebrity Cansu Dere, Ludivine Sagnier in lovely black dress, Carmen Chaplin in split green, Ulyana Sergeenko in her own gown and Aurelie Filippetti in sleeveless pink gown.
Four knee long dresses were worn by Agathe Bonitzer, Alexandra Fulton, Aude Ambroggi and Sophie Desmarais, plus worst of the day: Soko and Rossy De Palma.
Best Dressed on Day 11: Zhang Ziyi
Previous Days: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, more of Day 5, Day 6, Day 7, Day 8, Day 9, amfAR’s 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS Red Carpet and Day 10.

2013 Cannes Film Festival, Day 10
Main focus was on movie The Immigrant.
For photocall Marion Cotillard was wearing lovely white Alexander McQueen mini dress and Louboutin pumps.
Later on Marion in white color once again. This time she wore silk long-sleeve Christian Dior gown. So elegant and sleek! She was posing with co-star Jeremy Renner and director James Gray.
Models. I don't know what's going on but Karlie Kloss is losing her momentum. She wore grey feather dress with spaghetti straps. I don't like the cut, the lenght not the shoes. Izabel Goulart in a black strapless Emilio Pucci gown with a split and Isabeli Fontana in white jumpsuit with a train. We've seen better, we've seen worse.
Eugenia Silva in sheer Dolce & Gabbana, strepless gown on Dolores Chaplin, Audrey Marnay wore cut out dress and Kristin Scott Thomas in knee length Lanvin.
Olivia Palermo in golden Roberto Cavalli and ladies with a touch of silver: Auline Grac, Juno Temple and Mouna Ayoub.
Agathe Bonitzer in green sheer gown with black underwear, Liliana Matthaeus in long-short dress combination and Bianca Balti in weird length fuchsia pink gown.
Definitely biggest trend is black and white color. Next three women would agree. French producer Melita Toscan du Plantier with Bertrand Delanoe, Tais Araujo in the middle, plus Clotilde Courau and Peter Dundas.
I'll finish off with Ana Girardot (what an odd color and cut), Tiany Kiriloff in bright orange (also hate the cut but love the heels), Carolina Parsons (yaiks) and Victoria April in orange-gold gown.
Best Dressed on Day 10: Marion Cotillard and Tais Araujo
Worst Dressed on Day 10: Carolina Parsons and Ana Girardot
Previous Days: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, more of Day 5, Day 6, Day 7, Day 8, Day 9 and amfAR’s 20th Annual Cinema Against AIDS Red Carpet.
