Charming loving ode to the dreamers!
Confession: I usually don't enjoy musicals that much but this one had the right amount of music and dancing intertwine with dialogs and acting so I did. And I actually love that Emma and Ryan weren't the best singers. It just felt more authentic because of it. The film is great mix of old Hollywood and modern times with also great musical score, cinematography, performances and chemistry. However I felt a bit cheated in the end. For me it crashed the beautiful romance and positive mood of the movie. It just doesn't make sense. Bittersweet. Not a perfect film but what I missed most is better story. Yet still entertaining and one of the best movies in 2016! Can't wait to see it again. 4/5
