Weekly health tip: do workout that YOU love!
We all know staying healthy and fit is important. Part of it is by regular workout, but where and how to start?
A lot of people make excuses and procrastinate with so many things in life. Don't be one of them and do something! You can do whatever your mind decides!
Start now!
It's not that big of a deal. Just start where you are with what you have! Put your sweatpants and sneakers on and go. Go for a walk, jump rope, do squats, play yourself some of the excellent Fitness Blender (click) videos or dance. Stop with the lame excuses and overcome your laziness.
Fact 1: do something YOU love!
Do workouts that you're fond of. Many people start with same workout because of their friend(s) or partners but they never really connect or enjoy these activities. Don't get me wrong. I encourage you to try new things but if you don't feel & enjoy them as much as your friend(s)/partner, there is nothing wrong with you. Some like intense cardio workouts better than running, etc. There is absolutly nothing wrong with that and you don't need to feel bad about it. On the other hand I think it's really important that you do something you love and enjoy. Workout should be fun and exciting, not an unpleasant obligation. Unfortunately some people just don't want to admit that this may not the sport for them and three months later... they don't do this workout anymore. How can you expect to do a thing you don't like and to still stay motivated? Sooner or later you'll feel obliged and unhappy and that will lead to quitt. Try new things but don't just stubbornly insist on it if you feel this is not for you. For example, I was never a zumba fan. Yes it's popular and trendy but it's just not for me.
Fact 2: you don't need fancy sportswear and accessories to begin!
Sadly a lot of people think you need to have Mizuno sneakers, Under Armour sports clothing and a Garmin watch before you start with running. Of course it's important that you feel good (and even stylish) in your sportswear but you don't need all of it right now. What happens is that people buy expensive brandy names but quit with the workout that they started only a month ago. Be smart about it and don't think that brand names will do the exercises for you! Once again, I'm not saying you shouldn't buy brands, I'm just saying that talking about your new Garmin watch won't make you (more) sporty.
Why should I even start?
Well because it's your life, your body and because you respect yourself. With regular workout that you love, you'll have more energy and feel more satisfied, there'll be less chance for illness, you'll feel empowered and confidenent. You'll not only feel better but you'll look better too.
Find workouts that you love and get your body moving! Don't forget you exercise for yourself and the reason why is because you want to be stronger and fitter!

Last week's favorite looks (November 11 - 17)
Sadly last week was nothing special so I picked only two of my favorite looks (November 11 - 17). Take a look...
Laura Haddock at the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in London, England. She wore a Sophia Kah white dress with black-lace detailing.
Eva Longoria looked super sexy in a black and white Stella McCartney dress with Louboutin shoes at the Museo Jumex Opening welcome dinner in Mexico City, Mexico.

Movie review - Stoker (2013)
Stoker (2013) / drama, mystery
Directed by Park Chan-wook
Written by Wentworth Miller
Starring: Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Nicole Kidman, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Alden Ehrenreich, Harmony Korine
Trailer: click.
PLOT
The film focuses on India Stoker (Mia Wasikowska), an introspective girl. Her life turns upside down on 18th birthday, after her loving father Richard (Dermot Mulroney) passes away in a mysterious car accident. She is now left with her unstable estranged mother Evelyn (Nicole Kidman) but Richard's charming brother Charlie (Matthew Goode) announces that he is staying indefinitely to help support them. It's hard to say much more than that.
REVIEW
Artistic, dark tamer psychological thriller with a mysterious characters and provocative attitude. The story unfolds very slowly, it's simple but keeps you interested. Story is odd but not the most orignal (there is not a lot of surprises), yet it's captivating and stylish throughout whole movie (amazing cinematography). There is a lot of symbolism and little details, nicely shot, creepy, tense, sick, moody, bizarre, twisted and disturbing yet the atmosphere is great and performances are spellbinding. I'm sure the movies is not for everyone because it's certainly something different but if you like something out of the ordinary or extraordinary camera-work, I highly recommend it. 4/5

Movie review - Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013)
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013) / adventure, fantasy
Directed by Thor Freudenthal
Screenplay by Marc Guggenheim
Based on The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
Starring: Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Douglas Smith, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Jake Abel, Nathan Fillion, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Anthony Head, Robert Maillet
Trailer: click.
PLOT
Sequel to the 2010 film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief continues the adventures of Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) and his friends, as they search for the Golden Fleece at the eponymous Sea of Monsters (better known to the humans as the Bermuda Triangle) in order to save an ailing magical tree that protects their home from foes.
REVIEW
More toned down sequel is mediocre on almost every level. Very simple and a predictable (almost boring) plot, average script with too much corny lines, special effects were just ok and funny parts were not that funny. There is an action but to be honest, I expected more action and time on the sea. On the positive side, there is not much violence, pace of the film is good. I also liked mythology part of the film and that some things didn't draw too much attention, for example relationship between Percy and Annabeth. Acting is solid, but Nathan Fillion was awesome portraying Hermes. And locations of filming were nice too. Film is solid but there is nothing really exciting about it (except the sequence with Nathan and the locations). Decent sequel. 3/5

The Way Way Back (2013) / drama

Starring: Liam James, Steve Carell, Toni Collette, Allison Janney, AnnaSophia Robb, Sam Rockwell, Maya Rudolph, Rob Corddry, Amanda Peet, Jim Rash
Trailer: click.
PLOT
A story is about a quite teenage 14-year-old boy Duncan (Liam James) trying to find a place where he belongs on his summer vacation in a small seaside town with mother Pam (Toni Collette) and obnoxious step dad Trent (Steve Carell). They arrive at the beach house and are greeted by the neighbors, hard-drinking Betty (Allison Janney) and her children, Susanna (AnnaSophia Robb) and younger Peter (River Alexander). Duncan begins explore the town and runs into the manager Owen (Sam Rockwell) of the local water park Water Wizz. He takes Duncan under his wing, shows him around the park and introduce him to group of employees: Caitlyn (Maya Rudolph), Lewis (Jim Rash) and Roddy (Nat Faxon). Duncan starts to spend his time at the park while all the drama is happening at home.
REVIEW
I'm very fond of bittersweet dramas that also bring that witty charm and sense of reality into the film. This one is definitely in this category. Very good writing and acting, relateable (how to fit in, overcoming lack of confidence, when it's time to move on, etc.), characters develop, story is heartwarming and sweet. I also liked the film is not trying to be something it isn't and don't force or overdo things. Nevertheless I would still say it is quite predictable yet very enjoyable and worth watching. 4-/5

Weekly health tip: 5 meals a day
Another basic but very important tip: have five (smaller) meals a day! Are you one of those people who wait for a long time for your next meal but than eat so much than you can barely move? Huum, you might change that. 5 or even 6 smaller meals are way better choice for you than eating 3 big meals a day.
WHY?
Not only it can help you increase your metabolism but you'll create a steady stream of energy that can keep you going without that drag you feel in between meals. And because you won't feel that hunger all of a sudden, you'll feel much better. No more feeling cranky because you need to wait for your next meal. If you think about it... You can eat/nibble food almost all day but you’re not eating more food because portions are smaller. The other good news is that you won't feel like you're too tired to do anything.
HOW?
With a little extra planning and some self control I believe you can do it!
So eat more frequent meals (meal is not candy btw:)) and be good to your body!

Last week's favorite looks (November 04 - 10)
Last week we've seen red carpets from CMA awards and Baby2Baby Gala so beside outfits that I already compliment, there wasn't many looks that I put on my favorite looks from last week (November 04 - 10).
Nevertheless, here they are...
Jennifer Garner attended the Marvelous Max Mara Tokyo 2013 photo call in Japan. She wore white elegant Max Mara sleeveless crepe column gown. Karlie Kloss in sparkling Prabal Gurung dress at the WSJ. Magazine's Innovator Of The Year Awards 2013 in New York City. They both look beautiful!
Street looks trio. Alessandra Ambrosio and Miranda Kerr while arriving on airports and stylish Jessica Alba in black skirt, Splendid gingham flannel shirt and a Transmission Keith Richards tank.

MTV EMA's 2013 Red Carpet
As promised, red carpet at MTV EMA's 2013 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I was quite surprised how small and nothing special red carpet was. Judge for yourself...
Miley Cyrus in NY Vintage looked like she is going clubbing back in time. Iggy Azalea showed a lot of skin in Dilek Hanif Couture black dress and Ellie Goulding in the Dolce & Gabbana sheer lace trend.
Eva Simons stand out because of her ensemble and big hair. Katy Perry was almost overlooked in aqua-blue satin Zac Posen dress, while Louise Roe wore colorful Mara Hoffman dress and Shanina Shaik in golden long sleeve mini with Tyson Beckford.
Ariana Grande in nude strapless Mikael D frock with black baroque embroidery, Halina Reijn in black lace dress, Laura Whitmore in Fyodor Golan and Cher Lloyd in art deco print bodycon mini dress.
The ladies of Icona Pop, Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, Lena Meyer-Landrut in cut out top with pencil skirt, Anna Drijver in optical long sleeve mini and Caro Emerald in skirt with striped sweater.
Long dresses for the end. Sylvie van der Vaart, Bridgit Mendler, Rita Ora in Calvin Klein and Carice Van Houten.

Movie review - Olympus Has Fallen (2013)
Olympus Has Fallen (2013) / action
Directed by Antoine Fuqua
Written by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt
Starring: Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Rick Yune, Robert Forster, Cole Hauser, Finley Jacobsen, Ashley Judd, Melissa Leo, Dylan McDermott, Radha Mitchell
Trailer: click.
PLOT
Mike Banning (Gerard Butler) is the lead Secret Service agent who maintains a personal relationship with president Benjamin Asher (Aaron Eckhart) and his family. After an accident gone wrong, he changes the high profile field work for an easier assignments, not knowing that the president will soon need his No. 1 to come and save the day.
REVIEW
I don't want to be disrespectful but this film is just ridiculous! Unrealistic, illogical, over the top attack sequences, too much violence, bad predictable plot and poorly script. No really. What was that? I really don't appreciate lame, cheap, cliché nationalism and portraying North Korea as new terrorist threat. Come on! Thank god for charismatic Gerry and solid cast but even them don't save the film. Movie is a painful experience and one of the worst I've seen this year. I can't believe there'll be a sequel titled London Has Fallen. Why? Don't make your Monday even more depressing, do /watch something else. 1/5

VSFS 2013 this week!
You know I'm a Victoria's Secret addict, so I just wanted to let you know what to expect on my blog since VSFS 2013 is only days away.
Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 will happen this week but just like every other year, I'll review it and focus on it (backstage, all runway outfits segment by segment, afterparty, etc.) only AFTER we see the show on TV in December 10 (despite the pictures already being on web).
We already know that Candice Swanepoel (click) will be wearing the Victoria's Secret Fantasy Bra this year, while sadly Miranda Kerr and Erin Heatherton will not be in the show. For Erin I'm not 100% sure, because I read different informations. We'll see. But that's not all! I was very disappointed to find out that Barbara Palvin, Shanina Shaik and Isabeli Fontana will not be in this year's show either! :(
Models that we'll definitely see on the runway: Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Behati Prinsloo, Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Lindsay Ellingson, Izabel Goulart, Jessica Hart, Lais Ribeiro, Constance Jablonski, Magdalena Frackowiak, Maryna Linchuk.
Another interesting thing is that we still don't know who'll be performing at the show?
Below is a peek at the castings for the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show where you can hear some thoughts from the casting director John Pfeiffer, collection creative director Sophia Neophitou and the executive producer Ed Razek.
What do you think? Are you excited or not so much?

Movie review - The Lone Ranger (2013)
The Lone Ranger (2013) / adventure, comedy, action
Directed by Gore Verbinski
Screenplay by Justin Haythe, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio
Based on Lone Ranger by Fran Striker George W. Trendle
Starring: Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, William Fichtner, Ruth Wilson, Tom Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter, Bryant Prince, James Badge Dale
Trailer: click.
PLOT
An American Indian spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice. The two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.
REVIEW
So what to expect from the team that brought us Pirates of the Caribbean? First of all, a fun ride with cool (sometimes over the top) actions sequences, appealing shoot places and humor. Plot and script are average, film is a bit long but Johnny and Armie are great! Solid light entertainment, perfect for Sunday eventing! 3/5

Weekly health tip: drink water
Water, water, water! It might sound old but drinking enough of water is so important! I noticed that many people don't drink enough fluids which causes dehydration. Instead of we end up drinking coffee, fruit juices, soda, teas, milk and alcohol and a bunch of other possibilities.
WHY?
We all know that water is good for you but why? It helps maintain the balance of body fluids, flushes out toxins, cleanse your skin, energize muscles, enable better exercise, help you control calories etc.
HOW TO START DRINKING WATER?
There was a time I felt reluctant drinking only pure water. Blah, so bland and boring. So I started with flavored waters but soon realized that they are no good (to artificial and sweet). I made a choice and start to drink pure water. I also learned that you can do healthy flavoured water by simply add some fruits (lemon, cucumber, mint, kiwi, etc.) in the water. It's more fresh, natural and taste yummy!
HOW MUCH WATER SHOULD YOU DRINK PER DAY?
We all heard the advice: 'Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day', although the "8 by 8" rule isn't supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it's easy to remember. More than following standards, I recommend you to listen to your own body and keep in mind the factors that influence water needs: exercise, environment and your health condition.
For example. I drink americano coffee (very loooong coffee) and I feel very dehydrate after it so I drink especially a lot of water in between and after it. Then of course I need more water in summer time, after workouts etc.
Stay hydrated and healthy! Cheers!

Cheers!
