One of the most overrated movies in 2015!

PLOT
Set in 1952 in New York City, the film tells the story of a young aspiring photographer Therese (Rooney Mara) and her relationship with an older woman Carol (Cate Blanchett) going through a difficult divorce.

REVIEW
Is it just me or this film is a bit overrated? I agree that Cate was excellent and Rooney was solid as well, coustumes were on point and they captured the time period (beautiful old-fashioned) but I was just not that impressed. The thing I was missing most was the emotional connection between the characters. Main actresses are amazing in their own role but their chemistry fails. Also the story is not compelling enough and you don't really care what happenes to characters. Beautiful film in some ways but forgettable and quite dull. 3/5
