RECAP
I will keep it short so here my comments about the show:
- Host Stephen Fry did a nice job
- kiss cam was quite cute (Leo+Maggie)
- in movie clip that I love, I would also like to see scenes from little good movies
- best winning speech: Kate WInslet and Leonardo DiCaprio
RED CARPET
Not many outstanding outfits. And it was hard to watch how cold ladies were. Brrrrr. My fav looks were Kate Winslet and Olga Kurylenko.
Natural beauty Saoirse Ronan wore a strapless Burberry gown covered with pink and gold glimmering flowers. She styled the dress with Chopard necklace and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.
Cate Blanchett in an Alexander McQueen gown, Tiffany & Co jewelry and Guiseppe Zanotti shoes. There is not a lot of ladies that can pull off that many feathers. Cate can!
Alicia Vikander in a leather glitzy Louis Vuitton look. Solid! And I love her natural make up!
Kate Winslet was my favorite! I love her in an Antonio Berardi gown with a Jimmy Choo bag and shoes and David Morris jewelry. And the red lips and the hair. Top!
Rooney Mara was one of my least favorite in Givenchy.
Dakota Johnson in a Dior scarlet gown, showing off a hint of cleavage, Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch, and Repossi jewelry. I know she know that we've all seen her boobs so there is no need for such a cleavage on this occasion.
Gwendoline Christie wore a structured sleeveless dress.
One of my favorite was Olga Kurylenko in a sheer dress by Ralph & Russo with a white lace pattern. Just beautiful!
Dree Hemingway in a red Erdem dress and Jimmy Choo bag.
English fashion and beauty vlogger, blogger, make-up artis Tanya Burr opted for sleeveless black and white look.
Isla Fisher wore a white Stella McCartney dress. Julie Walters in a sparkling blue dress and black coat, Maggie Smith in a burgundy dress with a matching silk jacket. Eddie Redmayne with a pregnant wife Hannah who also opted for color red.
Emilia Clarke in a Victoria Beckham dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and bag, and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. The dress looked wrinkled. Me not liking it. Than we have shimmering Gemma Chan, and Heida Reed in a sexy plunging black dress with a sheer skirt, a delicate necklace on her bare chest. Julianne Moore looked amzing in an Armani custom dress with Chopard jewels.
Lily Donaldson in a sweeping black Saint Laurent gown with a sheer peasant blouse-style top half, Annabelle Wallis in a heavily ruffled Oscar de la Renta gown and Sophia Webster shoes. Laura Whitmore opted for blue and Sonoya Mizuno.
Rebel Wilson in an asymmetric skirt and blazer, Bel Powley in colorful dress, Angela Scanlon in a mid-length dress in black with a lace detail and Hannah Arterton in quite boring dress.
Reunited again: we love this award season right? And one of the reasons is that we see Kate and Leo together. And most of the times - they both win. Fingers crossed for Oscars!
