PLOT
In 2154 the world is divided on a ravaged Earth and a luxurious space habitat called Elysium. Film focuses on a former car thief and parolee Max Da Costa (Matt Damon). He lives in the ruins of Los Angeles and works at an assembly line for the military company that built Elysium. While working, Max is involved in an accident and only has five days to live. His only hope of surviving the fatal accident is to team up with a high-profile criminal who promisses Max treatment on Elysium in exchange for one very special job.

REVIEW
Except cool effects, CGI and overall watchable film I have nothing really positive to say about it. Bad storytelling, characters didn't developed, no surprises and way too much violence (I'm used to it but this was extremely aggressive and at some point even unpleasant to watch). Plus some things just didn't make any sense. Like robots are really capable but the corporations still need low-skilled workers to work on assembly lines doing task that even now are done by robots? It's a good that movie explores political and sociological themes such as immigration, overpopulation, health care, exploitation and class issues but nothing really tied it all together. Whole film doesn't seem to make any sense or pointless. If you've seen it, ok. If not, you didn't miss anything. 3-/5
