Another red carpet! Last night (November 5) were 48th annual CMA Awards at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Surprisingly this CMA's red carpet was quite enjoyable and worth seeing.
Starting with my favorite duo of the night. Kimberly Perry and Lucy Hale! The Band Perry singer wore Gustavo Cadile navy blue sheer optical illusion gown with an elongated train while Lucy opted for stunning Romona Keveza gown with the asymmetrical back and contrasting black belt. The black fringed clutch, the silver rings and a glossy red lip rounding out this perfect look. They both look amazing!
Carrie Underwood was the host of the show alongside Brad Paisley once again. And the pregnancy didn't slow her down when it come to costume changes. At the red carpet Carrie wore a custom fully beaded gold ombre gown featuring a high-low skirt by Lorena Sarbu.
Than we've seen her in Randi Rahm silver mini, Theia blue sequin gown, Randi Rahm white dress, Nicole Miller cobalt blue number and Randi Rahm green dress.
And dresses in bottom row: Rhea Costa gown, Christian Siriano mint dress, Theia pink dress and Pamella Roland red frock.
My favorite looks from Carrie were Theia blue sequin gown, Rhea Costa gown and Theia pink dress.
Miranda Lambert also made some wardrobe changes. First we've seen her in a blush-pink Bibhu Mohapatra chiffon gown, with plenty of sparkle courtesy of Lorraine Schwartz and an Emm Kuo clutch. Miranda accepted one of the awards in black lace dress with spaghetti straps, while show off her legs while performing in a black shorts jumpsuit and in a green-blue mini flare dress. Her last look was my favorite, white Gabriela Cadena dress with Casadei shoes.
Jennifer Nettles looked very good in a black Christian Siriano silk faille tailored gown with waist-high pockets. The styling was kept very simple, with just a few diamond jewels, neutral makeup and a sweeping updo completing her look. Cassadee Pope wore Aidan Mattox fall 2014 Jersey bodice and metallic brocade ballgown with Stella & Dot statement necklaces. Kellie Pickler in an interestion Johnathan Kayne navy mesh gown. Tacori jewels and a Swarovski silver clutch accessorized her look. Katie Armiger in a black column gown with gold embellishments.
Nicole Kidman in a boho romantic Roberto Cavalli dress with Fred Leighton jewels rounded out this look. Jana Kramer wore a Badgley Mischka corseted ball gown constructed from pink lurex and turquoise textured floral brocade. Badgley Mischka sandals, smouldering makeup and glossy waves completed her look. Kelly and Kacey Musgraves both looked lovely. Kelly in a white princess dress while the singer wore a pink Oscar de la Renta column gown with intricate embroidery creating sparkle and dimension. She style the look with a silver clutch and a huge diamond ring.
Danielle Bradbery was also one of my favorites in a black plunging dress and beautiful side-swept braid. Kimberly Schlapman went for the champagne gold in an amber-hued strepless tea-length dress and matching heels. A rhinestone-encrusted handbag and Jacob & Co. jewels finished her look. Don't like it at all. David Nail with beautiful Catherine Werne in a similar dress as Danielle, only in white. Pretty.
Nashville babes. Chaley Rose in a dramatic Johnathan Kayne gold damask-pattern sequin gown, given added impact with Swarovski beading at the V neckline and a strappy suspender back. Clare Bowen in an embroidered bustier and a confetti skirt. Sister on and off-screen Lennon and Maisy Stella looked the way they should. Youthful. While Lennon chose a burgundy Free People mini, her little sister chose a LBD with a statement collar and a ruffled pink hem.
Kimberly Williams-Paisley in a Romona Keveza navy embroidered lace gown with a side slit, which she styled with Jimmy Choo sandals and a decorative sapphire statement necklace. Connie Britton wore a green Naeem Khan three-quarter-sleeve dress featuring intricate threadwork detailing throughout, with illusion detailing on the yoke and skirt. Beaded waistband and gold Stuart Weitzman sandals complete her look. Aubrey Peeples opted for a white crop top and sequined black skirt.
Faith Hill in a Naeem Khan metallic chevron-beaded gown with a large black bow at the bust and a Watteau-style back. Lily Aldridge wore a black custom Calvin Klein Collection long-sleeved tulle and silk cady gown. I'm not a fan of sheer cut outs. Alongside Lily, her sister Ruby in a yellow dress. Brandy Clark in a glittering dress with peekaboo sleeves by Pamella Roland.
Trisha Yearwood in a long-sleeved black dress with scarlet-accentuated clutch. Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye looking sweet in the middle and Karen Fairchild in a long lace slip dress topped off with a red fur jacket, an ensemble she added an oxblood clutch and boho jewels.
Rachel Holder squeezed herself in a black V dress with sequin, while Natalie Stovall in an uneventful black frock. Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum opted for a figure-hugging cleavage-enhancing Herve Leger black gown accented with gold detailing. Michael John jewelry, a gold Reece Hudson clutch completed her post-baby red carpet look. RaeLynn in a black high-low flowing dress with red lips.
Ashley Monroe in a sequined silver minidress, Martina McBride in an Oscar de la Renta black tulle cocktail dress with an illusion neckline and sheer skirt, Meghan Trainor in an A-line frock layered with blue lace, accessorized with a sparkling clutch and glitter-dipped heels and Susan Yeagley in a a vivid orange asymmetrical mini.
More ladies that literally brightened up the carpet. Erin Eder in a purple electric blue gown, Nicolle Galyon in a plunging dress crafted from a pink and blue floral print, Lauren Gregory in red orange color and Meghan Linsey in a green dress with a slit.
Which were your favorites?
