Anything new? Noup. Still worth watching? Yes!

PLOT
Billy Hope (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a boxer who lives in New York City with his wife Maureen (Rachel McAdams) and their daughter Leila (Oona Laurence). During a match in which he defends his World Light Heavyweight title, Billy sustains an eye injury and is convinced by Maureen to retire while he's at the top.

REVIEW
You probably seen it before. A boxer on top of his world loses everything... The film is predictable and with clichés but is redeemed by the performances of Jake Gyllenhaal and Forest Whitaker. I'm a big fan of Jake's work and he did it again! What an amazing job! Respect! And yet, despite its flaws, Southpaw is a compelling, touching and worth watching! Liked it a lot! 4/5
