Movie review - A Good Day to Die Hard (2013)

A Good Day to Die Hard (2013) / action, crime, thriller

Directed by John Moore
Screenplay by Skip Woods
Based on Characters by Roderick Thorp
Starring: Bruce Willis, Jai Courtney, Sebastian Koch, Yuliya Snigir
Trailer: click.

John McClane (Bruce Willis) is back for the fifth time. This time he's travels to Russia to help his son Jack (Jai Courtney) out of prison but get caught op in a terrorist plot. Viktor Chagarin (Sergei Kolesnikov) is a high-ranked corrupt Russian official, who plans on incriminating political prisoner Yuri Komarov (Sebastian Koch) without a fair trial so John and Jack try to do something about that...

I love Die Hard franchise and badass action movies but this one is such a disappointment. Lame plot, bad screenplay, action scenes are not slightly close to what we seen before, father-son relationship is weird and comical parts are horrible (really crappy one liners) and drag movie down even more. And for a hour and a half long movie you've got a feeling that it's been going on for two hours plus. I'm not even going to start on how stereotypical movie is (good Americans, bad corrupted West etc). Maybe it sounds harsh but film is simply terrible! 2/5
