Modern reconstruction of fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. We see classic story at the begining. Abandoned brother and sister lost in forest, lured by a house made of candy, where evil witch torture them. Opportunity with furnace arrives and away she goes. Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) are now grown up and becomed witch hunters. They do their business very successfully because both of them are immune to spells and curses. One day they save woman named Mina (Pihla Viitala) who is accused of witchcraft. Trouble in town of Augsburg emerges, witch hunt continues and siblings may face the long hidden truth about their parents.

It's just one of those movies that are pointless and there to entertain. They know film it's not meaningful or great but they have fun with it. Without any good elements like screenplay, plot or twist, but with action, straightforward, simple story, special effects, f* words and a lot of violence. I think movie is not bad, it's having fun with itself, but at times tries to be too badass. Stupid fun for people who like dark fairy tales and blood. 3-/5
