Happy Birthday - Liam Neeson (61)

Happy 61th Birthday to one of my favorite actors  Liam Neeson!

He is best know from movies like: Schindler's List (1993)Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999), Michael Collins (1996), Love Actually (2003)Kinsey (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005)Batman Begins (2005), Taken (2008), Chloe (2009), The A-Team (2010)Clash of the Titans (2010) and Unknown (2011).

Quick facts:
- born in Northern Ireland;
- his birth name is William John Neeson;
- he has three sisters: Elizabeth, Bernadette and Rosaline;
- began boxing lessons at the All Saints Youth Club (age nine) and later became Ulster's amateur senior boxing champion (he also had his nose broken at the age of 15);
- graduated from the Gaiety School of Drama in Dublin, Ireland;
- dated actress Helen Mirren in 1980;
- was married to actress Natasha Richardson since 1994 till her tragic skiing accident in 2009,

For Esquire magazine (March 2011 issue) he talked about his grief:
''I think I survived by running away some. Running away to work. That's the weird thing about grief. You can't prepare for it. You think you're gonna cry and get it over with. You make those plans, but they never work." He continued: "It hits you in the middle of the night – well, it hits me in the middle of the night. I'm out walking. I'm feeling quite content. And it's like suddenly, boom. It's like you've just done that in your chest."

- they have two sons together, Micheál and Daniel;
- was very active with the Royal National Theatre in London during the 1990s where he performed a wide range of Shakespeare's works;
- he has been nominated for an Oscar (for Schindler's List (1993)), a BAFTA (also for Schindler's List (1993)), three Golden Globe Awards (for Schindler's List (1993), Michael Collins (1996) and Kinsey (2004)) and a Tony Award for his role in The Crucible in 2002;
- was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of British Empire) in the 2000 Queen's Millennium Honours List for his services to drama;
- wanted to be in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999) so badly, he didn't even bother reading the script.

Last year he even got (almost) naked on Ellen show for a good cause.

I'm very excited because we can expect a whole lot of him in the future (he's working on many new films). He's such a great actor and I love his work! And to be honest. What's not to love about him? He's also charismatic, charming, tall with deep gravelly voice and I love his Irish accent.

Happy 61th Birthday Liam and best of luck in the future!
